Art Students League

Sign Design, Historic Recreation, Handpainting, Gold Leaf

Having attended the Art Students League as teenagers, we were beyond thrilled when they reached out to us to recreate their historic gold leaf signage at their NYC landmark building.

The signage, originally done in the 40s or 50s and featuring vernacular lettering done in a classic double gild style, was first traced and redrawn by hand. New patterns were then created and the work was redone in a few days - and will stay there for the next 50 years.

Gilding done in collaboration with Matt Meyer
